This week we read a few of the most popular fables. We read about the Little Red Hen and created our own silly version of the Little Red Hen baking something new! We read Jack and the Beanstalk and created an opinion writing piece stating if we would want to climb the beanstalk and why or why not. We also read the Tortoise and the Hare as well as Hansel and Gretal. With both texts we worked on retelling the story and comparing and contrasting the characters in the books.
In math students worked on building numbers using different colored cubes. Students then showed how they decomposed their number with the blocks. We continued to work on those tricky teen numbers and reviewed some of the shapes.
