This week we discussed my feelings. We read books like Ladybug Girl and Bumblebee Boy and discussed what we are super at. We also read It's hard to be Five and discussed things that are hard for us to do or that make us feel frustrated. Wimberly Worried we shared about different types of feelings we have and things we may worry about at school or home. We used the book It's okay to be different to discuss how we are all unique and to accept each others differences. From these discussion we used our Social Studies curriculum to read If you plant a seed. We had some really great conversations around Planting Kindness at Hopewell and how our choices matter.
In Math we worked on making graphs of how old we are and what month our birthdays are in. We used the graph to discuss which data point had the most and which had the least. We worked on comparing the data to find the difference between two numbers.
Monday, September 23rd will be Day 1.
