The last two weeks we have been studying about pets. We have read Not Norman and Gilbert Wants a Pet. We worked on retelling a story telling who the important characters were, where the story took place, the problem, and solution. We also wrote stories about how we would help take care of a pet and provide reasons why we would want that pet.
This week we also celebrated the 100th day of school. It was an exciting day filled with 100 day activities. We built with 100 cups, we exercised for 100 seconds, we made puzzles with 100 pieces, we also thought about how we are 100 days smarter from the very first day of kindergarten and all the awesome learning we have done in the classroom the past 100 days.
In math, we continue to explore teen numbers, writing double digit numbers, using a 100 grid, and counting by 10's.
Sight words: do, if how
Monday, February 10th will be Day 4.
