This week we studied our 5 senses. We read a variety of nonfiction books explaining how our senses help us and make us aware of our daily surroundings. The students made a book explaining some of their favorite things to see, touch, hear, smell, and taste. In our writing journals students are sounding out words focusing primarily on the beginning and ending sound of the words, as well as recognizing sight words.
In math, we worked on describing characteristics of shapes, creating repeating and growing patterns, and learning how to play a memory game that matches number of dots.
Monday, October 7th is Day 3.
Sight words this week: can, have, we
Letters: C, O
